2004 Area Clinics

The Panther Soccer Club and EIU are hosting United States Soccer Federation Grade 8 Soccer Referee Certification Clinics in Lumpkin Hall on the Eastern Illinois University campus on Saturday and Sunday, January 31st and February 1st, 2004.

The entry-level clinic for first time USSF certification is a two-day clinic requiring attendance both days from 9:00am until 5:00pm with a one-hour break for lunch each day. To be held in 029 Lumpkin Hall.

The refresher clinic, which is required annually of previously certified USSF referees, is a one-day clinic offered this year either Saturday or Sunday from 10:00am until 3:00pm with a one-hour break for lunch. To be held in 1030 Lumpkin Hall.

Clinic fee is $25.00 and the USSF registration fee is $25.00, making the total cost $50.00. For a campus map. Lumpkin Hall is #41 near the upper center of the map.

Additionally, John Tatum of Tatum's Touchlines from Edwardsville has indicated he will be bringing a selection of official soccer referee uniforms and equipment for sale, and will be set up in 1040 Lumpkin Hall. (Tatum's is not affiliated with USSF, IYSA, EIU or the Panther Soccer Club.)

The second will be held in Urbana, IL on Feb. 7 & 8. It will be at the Urbana High School.This will both a refesher (10 -3 one day) and entry level clinic (9 - 5 both days). The entry level clinic will be held in the cafeteria and thye recertification clinic will happen in room 229. Enter through the northwest doors.
